BCC's Credentialling qualifications checklist from 1 Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:4-9


If anyone sets his heart of being an overseer, he desires a noble task

-Make a formal request in writing to BCC's PC to receive ministry credentials indicating how applicant feels called by God and what kin of ministry he/she is interested in doing.

-Complete a face-to-face interview with BCC's Pastor about his/her written request

He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgement as the Devil...They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve

- Converted to Christianity, been baptized and attended in-person Church and Discipleship Group regularly for at least 2 years(viz-SS and/or bible study)

-Read through BCC's Constitution

-Been a member of BCC for at least one year

-Applying for BCC's Anuals License (awarded for 3 consecutive years) or-BCC's Life Ordination

the husband of but one wife...He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect

-Have a stable Christian homelife (if married, heterosexual and faithful to one spouse. Any children living at home are obedient)

Temperate,self-controlled,respectable,hospitable...

- respectable in public and is willing to host others in his/her home.

able to teach

-Others affirm his/her calling and communication skill. Accepts opportunities to preach and teach as BCC's Pastor directs.

not a lover of money

-is a tither to BCC and willing to live on a budget and has or is recovering a good credit score

They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience...He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.

-Teaches the Bible is God's inspired Word and the final authority on all matters of faithand practice and fills out BCC's doctrinal statement form that is kept on file in BCC's office
